点评：We went to see King Of Pop: The Legend Continues this evening Saturday 19/09 and the show was absolutely fantastic. This review is no reflection of the performers at all. However this review is about the theatre. I have never experienced a problem at this theatre before until recently. I have always had great experiences and we have had so many happy memories here. I hate leaving negative reviews and do so extremely rarely but I am beyond upset, disappointed, heartbroken and appalled with the experience that Watersmeet provided this evening. First of all we had originally booked to see this show on the 25th April however at very short and inadequate notice(just before the performance was scheduled to start) we received an email stating that the show had been cancelled(completely the venues fault, no fault of the band who was scheduled to perform that evening). This didn’t leave me with a great impression. The event was rescheduled to the 19th September. Whilst the show was fantastic, the Theatre really spoilt the event. The sound was appalling and it was evident that no thorough soundcheck had been conducted. However, the sound improved slightly in the second half of the show after many complaints. The toilets were below acceptable. None of the three cubicles in the male toilets were clean. This was before the show started. Somebody who I attended this performance with had what we think was foam covered all over their seat and this was disgusting. That seat was really unclean and got all over them and their possessions. If all of that wasn’t bad enough the fire alarm went off just as the show was finishing. The situation was handled in a woefully inadequate way. The way it was handled was completely unacceptable and disorganised. I was confused about what to do and what was occurring and in such a serious situation the last thing I expect is disorganisation and confusion. It is such a shame as the theatre itself is lovely, the legroom is excellent and it has significant potential but I will be very reluctant to visit back. It is heartbreaking to see the dramatic decline of this theatre. The performance was fantastic but the theatres offering was far from fantastic.
