Firetail Birdwatching Tours的点评
点评：During the first week of spring 2026 our party of three had the great good fortune to spend 12 hours with veteran birding expert Simon Starr from Firetail BirdwatchingTours.
Simon seems to have developed a sixth sense about where birds will be, whether they will come down from the canopy and if so where to put the scope. He showed us 93 species many of which were firsts for all of us. We had excellent views of all birds. These included recently arrived migratory shorebirds, resident shorebirds, forest birds and grassland species. He shared his extensive knowledge of bird behaviour with so many beginning to display and develop mating plumage. It was an exhilarating day with a cornucopia of bird varieties and newly shared knowledge.
We were well fed and watered and we were left with smiles on our faces and some wonderful photos.
A day later Simon sent us a list of species we had seen with links to a photo for each one from ebird. This has been a very useful way to consolidate our new knowledge.
We can’t recommend Simon from Firetail Birdwatching Tours highly enough.
