I took my small dog on an excursion to the famous Cetina Spring. There, I encountered three free-roaming shepherd dogs. Two of them cornered my small, leashed dog. Suddenly—out of nowhere—one of the large dogs attacked mine and tried to maul him to death! !!!
The other dog backed off, and I was forced to watch the whole thing unfold right in front of me, leash in hand, screaming for our lives. Fortunately, my dog survived, though he was severely injured. Another problem is that there is no functioning emergency veterinary care in this region! I later learned that this is a well-known issue among locals at the Cetina Spring and that attacks on dogs brought there happen repeatedly.
Everyone must decide for themselves whether or not they want to expose their beloved pet to this danger.
