点评：Visiting Can Carpet was one of the highlights of our trip around the Selçuk/Kuşadası region. This place is truly beautiful, unique, and full of tradition and craftsmanship.
What we loved most was that we were given a detailed and fascinating insight into the entire process of carpet making. We learned how the wool is processed into yarn, how the yarn is naturally dyed in beautiful, intense colors, and finally how the carpets are carefully hand-knotted – step by step. Seeing the craftsmanship up close really gave us a completely new appreciation for these carpets.
The carpets themselves are absolutely stunning and of very high quality. There is a wonderful selection of designs, including some beautiful and partly antique-inspired patterns. We were especially impressed to learn that some of the designs are based on templates and historical pieces from museums around the world. The carpets are incredibly soft, with rich, vibrant colors and remarkable attention to detail.
The whole experience was also very family-friendly. We felt extremely welcome and well looked after from beginning to end!
If you are staying in or around Selçuk or Kuşadası, we would absolutely recommend including Can Carpet in your itinerary. It is an opportunity to discover a fascinating traditional craft and see the incredible work behind a handmade Turkish carpet.
