What makes this space stand out is how much of the traditional carpet-making process they share with visitors if you visit their workshop. They demonstrate everything from preparing natural dyes using traditional ingredients, to spinning the wool by hand and finally weaving the carpet. It gives you a real appreciation for the incredible amount of skill, patience, and craftsmanship that goes into every piece.
The workshop itself has a wonderful atmosphere. It feels much more like visiting someone’s home than a commercial showroom. There is a warm, welcoming and authentic feeling that makes the experience especially memorable.
The owner is clearly passionate about his craft and is genuinely proud of the traditions he is preserving. His enthusiasm and knowledge make the visit both interesting and inspiring.
If you have an interest in traditional crafts, local culture, or simply appreciate beautiful handmade carpets, I highly recommend visiting Can Carpet. It is much more than a place to see carpets. It is an opportunity to experience the tradition and craftsmanship behind them.
