Om Yoga Casablanca的点评
点评：I was temporarily employed by Om Studio as an EU yoga teacher. My experience with the owner, Nabil Scally, was extremely negative.
His management style is dishonest, extremely manipulative and focused primarily on his own interests, with very little consideration for others. The treatment of foreign yoga teachers was unacceptable. The working contracts appear to have little legal value and did not reflect the actual working conditions:
- The stated working hours and length of stay are used mainly to attract teachers to Morocco, but they were never completed. In spite of my 10-week contract, only ten days after my arrival I was suddenly told that my services were no longer needed. This was particularly disappointing because my clients had been satisfied with my classes.
- Scally invites several teachers at the same time for an amount of work that would only require one teacher (!!). Nobody had promised work; apparently, Scally's objectives are purely business-oriented (future networking, etc.)
- Payments were made uniquely in cash.
I experienced a very controlling and intimidating atmosphere in the studio. I was monitored behind my back and shouted at based on unverified information. I was asked to lie to new teachers about my previous experience with Scally. I was also asked to offer free classes to clients in exchange for positive reviews for Om Yoga. I witnessed similar rude and disrespectful behavior towards three other teachers. Highly manipulative owner is master of turning problems caused by him against others in order to make them feel guilty.
Overall, yoga teachers are treated as disposable resources rather than as professionals deserving basic respect and transparency. It was an unpleasant and exhausting experience that left me feeling humiliated and undervalued.
