Beautiful, sub-tropical gardens

点评：My friend and I visited Morrab Gardens purely by chance, as we used it as a cut through to get to St Mary's Terrace. We didn't know the place existed until we stumbled across it.
I was really impressed with it. It was a lush green municipal park right in the heart of Penzance which, due to the mild climate of West Cornwall, plays host to a number of Mediterranean and sub-tropical plants.
We could have just as easily been in Nice. It was a wonderful spot to chill out and breathe in the lush, clean air.
There were Cornish Palms, Monkey Puzzles, Magnolias, Strawberry Trees, Date Palms, Giant Rhubarb and even Banana Trees.
Everything was vibrant and green and exceptionally looked after without looking manicured and over the top.
There were signs dotted across the gardens with information about the plants and the wildlife you can see there, including (but not limited to): Field Fare, Bullfinch, Newts, Mice, Stick Insects, Dragonflies, Kingfisher, Frogs and Wrens!
There is so much more to this place than I can attest to - there is a library in these gardens that I didn't even see, along with a fountain, bandstand and a Boer War Memorial. These passed me by unfortunately.
I should love to come back here one day and spend more time wandering around the verdant gardens and just chilling out.
The best thing of all - it is entirely free!

我真心希望有一天能再来这里，花更多时间在这绿意盎然的花园中漫步、放松身心。
