Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre的点评
点评：I attended the Botanical Bas relief workshop today but had received no further information since booking last March. A week ago, I asked for further information regarding what, if anything, I should bring along. I was told that I would be informed closer to the course date (!) 3days prior, I asked again. Initially I was told that everything is provided, so I rather sceptically accepted that the flowers would be provided. The next day, I received a message to bring a small bunch of flowers (what does this mean? What kind of flowers, how large would be dependant on the mould/ finished product). By this time, I could only gather what flowering grasses and shrubs I had in my own garden in September.
I arrived early to ensure a parking space, as advised. When we were called to the class, I noticed that the other attendees had tiny flowers and mine were probably inappropriate. How was I expected to know? I was at a disadvantage from the off, I was directed outside to find some flowers.
The workshop and Tara, leading it, were good. But there were no course notes and I was always on catch up, with a poor choice of plant material. Anyway, I did produce two plaques, which are ok.
I returned to my car only to find that I was blocked in by a car illegally parked behind me! I couldn’t manoeuvre out of my space without hitting a post. I went back to find out how to get help from someone in charge. My class tutor took a photo of the number plate. Eventually a lady casually turned up and I told her that she had blocked me in and she was not allowed to park there. She told me that she was told to park there by the parking attendant. Since there is no such thing, I didn’t believe her. I went back inside to tell someone that the culprit had been found and I could drive out. When I got back to my car, a man was outside and said that I could have manoeuvred around the car. I pointed out that I couldn’t, without hitting a parking notice post but I was not debating it and going home. I assume that this man was the ‘so called’ parking attendant that told the driver that since she was the last one in, that she could park there. Ridiculous, last in, is likely to be last out, blocking my exit.
So, I do not recommend Henshaws.

工作坊以及主持者塔拉都挺不错的。不过没有课程笔记，我总是跟不上进度，选用的植物材料也不太理想。不管怎样，我还是制作了两块匾牌，还算过得去。
当我回到车旁时，却发现有一辆车违规停在我后面，把我堵住了！不碰到电线杆我就根本无法把车开出来。我回去想问问怎么才能找到负责人求助。我的班级导师拍下了车牌号码。后来，一位女士漫不经心地出现了，我告诉她她把我的车堵住了，而且她不应该把车停在那里。她则说停车管理员指示她把车停在那里的。因为根本不存在什么停车管理员，所以我并不相信她的话。我回到屋里去告诉别人肇事者已经找到了，我可以开车出去了。当我回到我的车旁时，有个男人在外面，说我本可以绕过那辆车停车。我指出，那样做肯定会撞到停车警示柱，但我没有和他争论，直接回家了。我猜那个男人就是所谓的停车管理员，他告诉那位女司机，因为她是最后进来的，所以可以把车停在那里。荒谬至极——最后进来的人很可能也是最后一个离开的，这会堵住我的出路。
所以，我不推荐Henshaws。
