Superb views, well worth the climb

点评：Black Rocks, a short and quite steep climb from the car park to panoramic views. Well worth the climb.
Pay & display car park, toilets and a seasonal cafe kiosk.
We stopped off on the way back from Kedleston Hall. A spur of the moment stop as it was a beautiful day.
You need to be mobile to climb the steep path for you first view of the rocks. Then we went into the woodland and up through the trees to reach the top of the rocks.
The climb up onto the gritstone outcrop of Black Rocks is rewarded with simply superb views.
Take care on the rocks, no safety measures, you are responsible for your own safety - it's a natural historic crag.
Clamber across the rocks, find your spot, and just breathe in the peaceful serenity of an amazing view across the Derbyshire peaks.
There are wildlife circuit walks through tge adjoining woods, but we didn't have time for them this time. Next visit we'll give ourselves more time to explore.
