A wonderful day at Statfold!
Statfold Country Park的点评
点评：We had the most wonderful few hours at Statfold Country Park! Three generations of us visited - my wife and I, our son and daughter-in-law, and our two-year-old grandson - and every one of us came away delighted.
We started in the train roundhouse area, and it was a real treat. The old engines and carriages are beautifully kept, and there’s so much character in them - you can happily wander and admire the craftsmanship up close.
Then we headed over to the Heritage Railway. We’d arrived early, and the staff kindly offered to take a few families out on an early ride - a lovely gesture that set the tone for the whole visit. We got to ride behind Isaac, a gorgeous blue engine that chuffed and whistled its way along the line, much to our grandson’s delight. The best part came at the end: from a bridge, you get to watch the engine turn around on the roundhouse. A magical little finale, especially for a wide-eyed toddler.
A fantastic, family-friendly day out. The team clearly takes pride in Statfold, and their warmth made it all the more special!
