点评:The Gozaisho Ropeway was an unexpected stop on our way back from Nagashima Spaland to Osaka. With tickets costing around USD 18 per person, it was an extremely scenic journey up to the peak with fantastic views of Nagoya and the mountain ranges that stretches to Lake Biwa! While the ropeway cannot be compared to the nicer ones in Switzerland or Europe, this was nonetheless a great find for city folk like us (we are from Singapore)! The journey there was a pleasant drive but note that it can get narrower and winding closer to the Ropeway as we traverse the mountain roads. There are also Ryokans in that area!
At the peak, there is an additional ropeway for individuals which we did not visit, as the main station at the top was sufficient for us! As we visited in the late afternoon, it was extremely quite and I managed to find a bench and enjoyed the view for a short while before making my way back down. The soft serve from the restaurant was very nice despite the colder weather at the top! Additionally, on both journeys, the staff were nice enough to provide every group with their own cabins! Some solo travelers even managed to get their own cabins!
