点评：If you ever have the chance to watch your spouse ride a carousel creature named Sassy the Ballerina Cat a few days before his birthday, don’t skip it. We returned yesterday from a wonderful three-day mini vacay in the Tri-Cities area, and one of the absolute highlights of our time there was visiting the Kingsport Carousel. Artisans created each of the handcrafted animals for this 2015 installation, and every single part of the carousel was a visual masterpiece, from the riding animals themselves to the carved animals above our heads to the circular paintings of native flora and fauna around the center. It’s also only one dollar a ride with free parking and delightful staff, including the lovely Ashley who only chided my spouse a little about his ornery moves. :) Between the whimsy and being a tween/teen horse girl, there’s just something about a carousel that I adore. I was so happy every time we selected a new animal and hopped on for another go round. Highly recommended for all ages.
