It's a great pity that the charming Yashima Station building is about to be demolished

点评：Although the facilities are somewhat dated, Kotoden (Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railroad) serves local residents of Kagawa Prefecture and we tourists very well.
Kotoden’s routes cover most of the major tourist attractions in Kagawa. For tourists, the one-day pass is certainly the most convenient option.
Despite their age, the train cars are kept clean and tidy, and the ride is smooth and safe. The train operators and station staff are professional and friendly, and the service is excellent.
While visiting Shikoku Mura, we boarded the train at Yashima Station (Shido Line) 志度線 屋島站 and found a notice announcing the imminent demolition of the station building. I learned that the decision was due to safety concerns following typhoon damage. With a 97-year history, the station features an elegant, charming pink and pale yellow wooden building; it is truly a pity that it is being torn down.
