点评:The museum is a very comprehensive record of what happened from the airfield in the Second World War . The very brave young American airmen 500 or so who lost their lives from flying bombing raids to Europe ftom there . Thd displays are excellent and the knowledge of the volunteers to tell the story is admirable . The display room and bunker showing the resistance training taking place and start of MI5 organisation is really interesting . I only scored 4 as the cafe was a disappointment . Tasteless coffee and flavourless tea to be accompanied by old fashioned very sweet cakes and chocolate based bars . Was expecting to at least get a home made hot soup or healthy brown bread sandwiches . I had taken grandchildren to learn about the war and to support the cafe by intending to buy lunch there but found the choice of food very processed and unhealthy . Sorry to say that it needs to move forward with the times . It will encourage more people to buy food and put money into the charity running costs
