点评：An Unforgettable Experience with Hendrik in Toraja
What an incredible time we had with Hendrik as our guide in Toraja! We had him with us for four days, and during that time he didn’t just show us the most beautiful places, but truly introduced us to the culture of Toraja. We were able to taste, smell, listen to, and most importantly, experience this beautiful and fascinating culture.
Hendrik is so much more than just a guide. He understood us incredibly well and always sensed what we needed. Whenever we wanted to do something different or go somewhere in the evening, he was there to help and think along with us. He took us to a restaurant and arranged a traditional Torajan meal for us. We ate together, laughed, sang, and even played guitar with some of Hendrik’s friends. Those personal moments made our trip truly special and unforgettable.
We were staying at another homestay ourselves. Looking back, we really wish we had stayed with Hendrik, because the hospitality and warmth we experienced from him and his family were absolutely wonderful.
As a beautiful finale to our time together, we were invited to have dinner at Hendrik’s home, at his homestay high in the mountains. His wife and sister prepared a delicious meal especially for us, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We even got to drink fresh palm wine that Hendrik had prepared for us that very morning. It simply doesn’t get any fresher or more personal than that!
Thanks to Hendrik, we also met wonderful new people and made memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.And of course, we are incredibly grateful for the beautiful photos he took of us.He made not only our trip, but also the memories of it, truly unforgettable.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Hendrik to anyone who wants to discover Toraja in a personal, authentic, and truly special way.
