点评:First and foremost, their service was personalized. You won’t get that from another company that takes larger groups. Captain Bob contacted us the day prior to our six hour trip to check in and also asked if there were any mobility concerns. The day of, when we arrived at the Thunderbird Lodge several minutes before our departure, Bob talked with our group of four and, since there were indeed no mobility concerns, we were able to plan a hike or two after having lunch at the Kettle Falls Hotel. Plus he discussed another very important topic… toilets. It was helpful that Bob shared where we’d have toilets along the way so there were no unnecessary worries about that.
Lunch at the Kettle Falls Hotel was on our own and afterwards Bob lead us around the grounds sharing the history. We also walked to the dam overlook where the view was gorgeous with water churning below as it came over the dam. After leaving there, we made another stop at Anderson Bay and hiked to the overlook. Along the way, we saw evidence of moose … three sets of droppings! That was a fun hike! Throughout the trip, Bob would stop on the water to point out this and that providing history all along the way. Learning about the many voyages through the area all those years ago was so very interesting.
Voyageurs Outfitters’ boat was new, comfortable, and covered (could be enclosed if you needed to take complete refuge from the weather). They had a bin full of a variety of snacks and an ice filled boat compartment with bottled water, sodas, and a variety of adult beverages. All complimentary. We appreciated that the adult beverages were for after lunch. :)
We loved the six hour excursion. Bob was fantastic! As a side note, his career was with the National Park Service so he had so much insight and history to share…even about other national parks we’d been or still need to visit.
Don’t hesitate to take this trip. You won’t be sorry!
Voyageurs Outfitters
