Incredible - just pick the correct route to the top!

点评：Views to die for! Absolutely incredible 360-degree vistas! This is a must do, together with the famous 'hole in a rock', which is found about halfway to the summit. There are Two routes to the top: one from Galtelli is passable and the other from Orosei is completely unsuited to a family car (so DO NOT follow Google maps satnav up this route!). In August 2024 there was absolutely no snack bar or facilities of any kind at either location so take plenty of water and pack food if you want to spend time here (who wouldn't?) with the bonus of watching the swifts bombing about the summit. The hole in the rock is well signed and has a short path with wooden rails (about 4 or 5 bends higher up than Google thinks it is). You will not meet much traffic so there is ample parking here. The road is tarmac and though narrow with many MANY switchbacks it is good all the way to the top, where there is a large car park. You will see the odd rocks on this road and a few potholes, but nothing too serious and it is a perfectly usable road with care so long as your car likes hills. Passing places on every bend. Just take it easy. If you cycle up or down here you are mad.
