点评：My wife and I visited Leicester Cathedral today to pay our respects at the final resting place of my cousin, King Richard III. We were completely enthralled by the personal tour and guidance we received during our time there. The sheer depth of knowledge shared by our guide was spellbinding, and we learned so much more about the history of the site than we had ever anticipated. The atmosphere was made even more special by the beautiful live music; we thoroughly enjoyed the violin being played right in the middle of the nave, which provided a wonderfully serene soundtrack to our visit.
A particularly wonderful and lighthearted touch was being directed to closely examine the magnificent new stained glass window in search of the 'hidden' football. It is a brilliant little detail, though my lips are firmly sealed as to its location—I certainly won't spoil the hunt for future visitors!
From a practical standpoint, the accessibility and facilities are very well maintained. The disabled toilet was exceptionally clean, although I must admit I fought something of a battle with the paper holder just to extract the requisite paper! That minor skirmish aside, it was a truly magnificent and deeply memorable experience from start to finish.
