乌布卡姜街稻田漫步的点评
点评：We have been coming to Ubud for years and visit this Kajeng Rice Field walk every time. We have been doing this walk every year since late 2014 (I wrote the first review).
The walk starts at the T-junction of Monkey Forest Road and the main street Jalan Raya (Ubud Palace). You walk towards Café Lotus and take the first street on the right. This is Jalan Kajeng street; you will see the large cement tiles with the names of people from all over the world (Ubud's version of Hollywood Stars Avenue). Continue following this road, with the many shops and stalls of Prianka Ubud Art Market; after that, the road goes uphill for a bit.
You will already start to see the first rice fields. You can take a short route past beautiful rice fields and turn left towards Sweet Orange. This is also known as the Subak Juwuk Manis walk. And if you walk further, through a small 300m path, you will return to the main street of Ubud. But unfortunately, everywhere you see more and more construction activity and villas along the beautiful rice fields, where the ducks keep the rice fields clean. Also many cafes and artisan shops.
Do not take the short route, but the very long route towards Bentuyung.
With this route, over tiles and smaller paths, you will see even more rice fields, villas, cafes, and artisan shops. Eventually, you will arrive at The Pengkolan Warung. Then turn right, towards Bentuyung/Ubud.
From Bentuyung, walk back to Ubud along the road with little car traffic.
The installation will take you a few hours. But it is worth it.
TIP.
Approximately 800 meters before Ubud Palace on the right side, you will find Puri Langon. A private temple and admission is free.
A small royal palace, which is also worth a visit.
