My view on a place with views.
空中花园的点评
点评：My wife and I decided we’d have an impromptu evening in London one Friday night. So after booking a table for 6:30 we made our way to the iconic building and made our way to the Sky Garden entrance, we were met by friends and efficient staff that guided us in the right direction. Once on the 35th floor we were again met by some very friendly and helpful staff that quickly guided us to our table.
We were situated in the upper bar that does offer some stunning views but is a little less grand than the lower seating area, it’s also a little quieter. We were sat on a lovely surrounding with stunning views of London in front of us as the sun went down, everything was going very well. A waiter/server came and took our order and it’s at this point that things for some reason took a turn for the worse. First of all I was told the particular beer that i wanted was unavailable as the pumps were not working, i asked for another brand and was also met with sorry but thats also not available, it transpires that no draught beer/ales or larger were available across any of the 2 or 3 operational bars for some reason!
Anyway, no great problem, bottled beer it was. We ordered food and sat back to relax and enjoy the evening. The sharing platter we ordered arrived and at £37 I was honestly a bit disappointed, not only was it luke warm, but the beef was incredibly chewy and stringy, it definitely didn’t feel fresh and more like it was pre-made and reheated at some point.
Then the evening really took a turn. We found it very hard to get any service, our waiter spent most of his time with his back to the room chatting to his colleagues, or socialising with other guests, we had to continually wait and try to catch his attention as and when we could. The final straw for us was after waiting about 10 minutes for him to notice we had no drinks and had been trying to get his attention he finally made his way to us, took our order and then proceeded to leave our drinks sat on the bar for at least another 5 minutes after the barman had poured them, my wife in the end went to the bar and much to the confusion of the staff collected our own drinks, hers was missing the shot that comes with the cocktail (porn star martini) , this was then delivered to our table without so much as a “sorry” or even a smile , it was deposited with a shrug and off our waiter went again.
We feel this is such a shame as the rest of the staff were great, enthusiastic and friendly.
In summary, it’s a great place (freezing cold though now it’s winter), the views are stunning and the fact that you can in theory just rock up and go in for a few drinks etc is great, prices are actually quite reasonable considering its location it has a lovely atmosphere but seriously let down by the quality of food (on this occasion anyway) and the one poor member of staff that frankly left a sour taste in our mouths.
Would we go back? Really not sure, possibly in the summer, but there are many more places to explore before we even consider it.

不过这也没什么大问题，我们就选了瓶装啤酒。我们点了食物，然后坐下来放松身心，享受这个夜晚。我们点的拼盘上桌后，定价37英镑让我着实有些失望。这道菜不仅温度偏低，里面的牛肉也极其难嚼且纤维感很强；显然不新鲜，感觉像是大批量预先制作好后又重新加热的。
接下来的夜晚更是糟糕透顶。我们几乎得不到任何服务——服务员大部分时间都背对着我们，要么和同事闲聊，要么在和其他客人应酬。我们不得不不停地等待，并尽力试图引起他的注意。让我们忍无可忍的是：我们等了大约10分钟，期望他能注意到我们没拿到饮料且一直在试图引起他的注意，他这才走到我们跟前，记下了我们的点单。然而，在调酒师把饮料倒好之后，他又把饮料放在吧台上，自己则离开了，至少又过了5分钟才回来。最后，我妻子只好亲自走到吧台，在工作人员一头雾水的情况下，自己取回了饮料。他们的鸡尾酒里缺少了配套的装饰物（色情明星马提尼酒必备的小装饰），而这个装饰物随后被送到了我们的桌上——全程没有任何一句“对不起”，甚至连个笑容都没有。服务员只是耸耸肩把东西放下，就又走开了。
