点评：This review is long as the experience there was extremely moving. The Gullah Museum in Georgetown, SC, is truly a treasure. Beatrice was a wealth of information, sharing the rich history, traditions, struggles, and resilience of the Gullah Geechee people in a way that brought the stories to life. From the painful history of enslavement to the remarkable journey of Gullah Geechee descendants and their contributions all the way to the White House, the story is powerful and inspiring. The quilts, in particular, are extraordinary—beautiful works of art that carry stories, memories, faith, family, survival, and hope from one generation to the next.
This is an amazing collection of artifacts and treasures from a culture that has made an indelible mark on the history and heritage of the Lowcountry. Every piece has a story, and every story deserves to be heard and remembered.
