Very mixed experience
Yerevan Zoo的点评
点评：This was a very mixed and, unfortunately, quite upsetting experience for our family. On the positive side, the zoo is very affordable, visitors can feed some animals, and the staff clearly make an effort. The grounds, pathways, and cages were very clean and well maintained. My youngest daughter especially loved feeding the deer and the camel, so for her it was a happy and exciting experience.
Unfortunately, for the rest of us, it was difficult to enjoy the visit because many of the cages seemed far too small. Some of the animals appeared visibly distressed. The elephant was alone and repeatedly hitting its head against the wall, while the lynx was continuously pacing in circles. Watching this was heartbreaking. My oldest daughter became so upset that she started crying and had to leave the zoo. My middle daughter was also deeply affected and spent much of the visit trying to think of ways the animals' living conditions could be improved. I have to admit, I was close to tears myself and we left quite soon.
I really wanted to like this place. The reasonable prices, cleanliness, opportunity to interact with some of the animals, and the apparent effort of the staff are all definite positives. But for us, they couldn't outweigh the sadness of seeing animals living in such limited spaces and displaying what appeared to be signs of severe distress. I sincerely hope that in the future more can be done to provide the animals with larger, more enriching environments. It could make such a huge difference — both for the animals and for the families who come to see them.

我真心希望自己能喜欢上这个地方。合理的价格、整洁的环境、能与部分动物互动的机会，还有工作人员所付出的努力，这些都是显而易见的优点。但对我们来说……这些优点远远无法抵消看到动物们生活在极其狭小的空间里、并表现出严重不适迹象所带来的悲伤情绪。我真心希望将来能采取更多措施，为这些动物创造更宽敞且能激发其天性发展的生存环境。这将带来巨大的改变——无论是对动物本身，还是对前来参观的家庭而言。
