点评：A beautiful rustic quiet unspoiled beach.
A WARNING though - RIP CURRENTS. I dont know if we were just unlucky, but I've read since, that this beach has strong rip currents at times. We were unaware of this and were caught in a rip. We were near the wave breaker rocks near the new Sandals development (formerly Almond beach resort)
We were chest deep, it was calm. Suddenly it changed and big waves started coming in, we tried to jump them, and because our feet left the ground we were swept out past the wave breaker rocks and could not get back however hard we swam.
It took a good 20 mins swimming parallel to the shore to get back and cling on to the wave breaker rocks.
We were told by a Bajan you should never swim on that part of the beach, and the next day another Bajan told us a man had got into difficulties that day too. I now know there was a north swell at the time, maybe this caused it - but google reports show there can be strong currents at Heywoods.
Please be careful, it was terrifying and if I hadnt have known to try and stay calm and swim parallel to the beach I don't think we'd have made it.
