Very upsetting experience at SITI ABSA SHOP HO

点评：I want to share our experience in Seminyak Flea Market. On 1 July 2026, around 12:15 p.m., my 15-year-old child went into this shop (SITI ABSA SHOP HO) and was persuaded to buy a pair of unbranded slippers and a pair of sunglasses that were presented as Oakley. The total price charged was about IDR 1,330,000. In my view, this was far too expensive for the items purchased.
As soon as I became aware of the purchase, I tried to stop the transaction and explained that my child is under 16 and should not have been encouraged to make such a costly purchase without a parent. The items were returned straight away in original condition, but the shop refused to refund the money.
This was a very disappointing and stressful experience for our family. We felt that a young tourist was taken advantage of, and it made us feel uncomfortable as visitors.
I understand that many shop owners in Seminyak Flea Market are honest, hardworking, and welcoming. It is unfortunate that one bad experience like this can damage the image of the whole market and affect other genuine local businesses.
I hope the market management and relevant authorities look into this matter. I would advise tourists, especially families with teen/children.
