Maurice River Bluffs Nature Preserve的点评
点评：Our first time there yesterday and my wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Some have complained about the drone of the nearby Millville speedway but it did little to detract from the beauty and tranquility of the preserve. Would it have been better without it? Of course, but even with it it's a lovely trail to hike and more challenging at some spots than one might assume. It's a nature preserve, not a deserted island. Civilization is gonna creep in here and there. Best to just deal with it and focus on the positive.
Bring water, some bug spray and take a picture of the map in the parking lot. Enjoy your hike and don't get too hung up on the boaters and jet skiers; it's their waterway too and they're allowed to enjoy no less than we hikers.
The trails are well-marked and though we didn't see much wildlife, I couldn't help but get the feeling that wildlife saw us. :)
There are a few unidentified "ruins" that some signage would have helped shed some light upon but all in all it's well maintained and quite user-friendly.
Challenging at points but not overly so. Highly recommended.
