An unforgettable morning with Megan and her horses

点评：As someone who has horses at home and rides regularly, I’m probably a little more critical than the average tourist when it comes to horse experiences. Santo Horse Adventures exceeded every expectation.
Megan is warm, knowledgeable and clearly devoted to her horses. From the moment I arrived it was obvious that their welfare comes first, and she takes the time to match each rider with the right horse based on their experience and confidence.
I was lucky enough to ride Kushi, Megan’s beautiful homebred 5-year-old mare. She was an absolute pleasure to ride: kind, responsive and beautifully educated. As a horse person, I couldn’t help thinking she looked like she could walk straight into the show ring.
The ride itself was stunning, taking us through rainforest, river crossing, mangroves and along a spectacular white sand beach. It wasn’t just a trail ride, it was a chance to experience another side of Santo that I otherwise never would have seen. Megan shared stories about the island, the local community and her horses, which made the experience feel incredibly personal.
What impressed me most was the obvious bond Megan has with every one of her horses. They’re well cared for, happy and genuinely loved, and that shines through in everything she does.
After spending a week diving, this was the perfect way to finish my holiday. If you’re visiting Santo, whether you’re an experienced rider or simply love horses, I can’t recommend Santo Horse Adventures highly enough. It’s an experience I’ll remember for a very long time.
