Awesome arch, interesting ride to and from

点评：We visited the arch on 5/11/26. It is 11 miles from the turn to Kodachrome State park. The ride in (Cottonwood Canyon Road) is a moderately rough road with one water crossing. We did it in a Subaru Outback and most high clearance (6" or more) SUV's should have not have any problems getting to the arch. The road is very washboarded in spots, impassable when wet and has a couple of rough and sandy spots. It took us 30 minutes to get from the Kodachrome turn (where the paved road ends) to the arch. This is an open range area and we did see cows next to the road
After 10 miles on Cottonwood Canyon road you take a left onto UT 440 (you'll see a sign indicating the turn) and it is 1 mile from the turn to the arch. This road had some moderately deep sand spots but was not an problem.
Once you reach the arch parking lot, it's less than a 1/4 mile walk to the arch. There was a pit toilet (in good shape) at the parking area.
The arch is awesome.
