Nature meets industrial heritage in a sustainable site of great beauty

点评：This is one of my all time favourite places on the lower North Shore. A truly a hidden gem.
It’s a beautiful place for a walk in nature, to learn about sustainable practices, to explore the heritage of the site or simply sit and absorb the beauty of the location and the harbor views.
There are many interesting events held at the centre, including twice monthly heritage tours. I attended one of these tours today and found it a fascinating historical introduction to a slice of Sydney‘s working Harbour. It was led by a knowledgeable tour guide with a personal connection to the site. It was her anecdotes that brought the history of the site alive for me.
A highly recommended place to visit as either a tourist or a local.
