We are a family of six adults and two children, and after our initial experience on arrival, we were pleased to see how quickly things improved once we met Omila, the manager, and Amanda.
They immediately took ownership of our requirements and went through everything with us. Although the arrangements we had previously agreed with Ms. Dilmi at the time of reservation could not initially be found in the resort’s records, we explained everything again to Omila. He listened carefully, acknowledged our requirements and, most importantly, honoured the arrangements and prices that had been agreed at the time of booking.
From that point onwards, Omila went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. He also made a special effort to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary with our family, which was a genuinely touching gesture and something we will remember.
Our Stay – Half Board
Our experience during the stay was exceptional:
* The rooms were amazing – spacious, comfortable and beautifully maintained.
* The food was out of this world. Every meal was a real highlight.
* The variety of food was enormous, with something to suit every member of our family, including the children.
* The restaurant staff were fantastic – friendly, attentive, professional and always welcoming.
Amanda also personally gave us a tour of the resort when we arrived. This was extremely helpful and made it much easier for our entire family to understand the facilities and enjoy everything the resort had to offer from the very beginning.
What impressed us most was the genuine hospitality. It did not feel like we were simply guests staying at a hotel; the team made us feel looked after and genuinely valued.
One of the most touching moments came at checkout, when the resort presented us with beautiful locally made gifts as a farewell gesture. It was unexpected, thoughtful and a wonderful way to end our stay. These small personal touches are what create lasting memories.
Our Recommendation
After spending three nights at Cinnamon Bentota Luxury Resort, we can confidently say that this is a 5-star-plus experience.
