Rovaniemi City Library的点评
点评：Newly renovated and better than ever, located in Rovaniemi City Center, this public library designed by the famous Nordic architect, Alvar Aalto, is an icon of its own. The facade is minimalist but the design is well thought of. They offer a wide variety of books and there are plenty of spaces where you can study, read or just loiter intelligently. Power sockets are available but since we're in Finland, so negotiating access with the person beside it feels like a high-stakes social interaction. There is a coffee machine so that you can get a fresh brew for only 1 euro.
Librarians are all helpful and courteous and speaks English.
They have a very user friendly online reservation system for books. You can also book meeting rooms and music room and you can even play Xbox 360!
Cons: no bidets in WCs
Additional pros: there's self service (you can go in even if there are no staff on duty during designated time and day)
