点评：We had a wonderful two-night stay at Macdonald Farm in Padstow and would highly recommend it, especially to families with young children. We stayed in The Potting Barn, which was perfect for a small family travelling with a baby. The accommodation was cosy, well thought out, and comfortable, but the addition of the shower room was an absolute game changer making mornings and bedtime routines so much easier.
One of the highlights of the farm is how well set up it is for children. The play park is brilliant and ideally located, giving children a safe and engaging space to play. During our stay the facilities were never busy, and if anything, our daughter had the run of the play area, which she absolutely loved. The animal experiences were another standout feature. Meeting the animals on Thursdays and Saturdays (with prior arrangement) was a lovely, hands-on experience and added something really special to the stay.
The staff were exceptional throughout friendly, engaging, and genuinely keen to help. With the kitchen closed during our stay, they went out of their way to assist us in arranging a takeaway delivery to the site, which was hugely appreciated and made things stress-free.
Breakfast was another real highlight: exceptional quality, generous portions, and very filling. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the pancakes, which quickly became a firm favourite. Inside the restaurant there’s also a well‑equipped children’s play area, packed with toys, making it easy for parents to relax while little ones are entertained. The coffee was good, and the small on-site shop stocked the basics, which was very convenient.
Overall, Macdonald Farm strikes a perfect balance between comfort, family-friendly facilities, and genuine hospitality. A fantastic base for exploring the Padstow area, and somewhere we’d happily return to.
