点评:We were really fortunate to have a guided tour by Trustee Brian Pearce, MBE who has been involved with the Wildlife Haven right from the start. What an incredible, inspirational human being he is!
The Internet and photos just don't do the place justice, its a beautiful oasis, so peaceful and serene, it's astounding that it is situated next to the rail track and in Peterborough City Centre. There are so many soul achingly gorgeous corners which seemingly transport you to another world. It. Is. Stunning. I have lived in Peterborough for 20 years and had no idea this wonderful place existed. It is astonishing that this patch of heaven started out as a derelict coalyard, it's now an amazingly well put together place teeming with nature. The addition of boards showing how the Haven has grown is fascinating and along with the train sets and Earth Centre, has something to appeal to all ages. We had a drink and bacon roll from the cafe (delicious and very cheap). We were there a couple of hours, but there are so many cozy corners with benches and gorgeous views, we could have stayed all day
