Scary road, great springs!
12 Mile Hot Springs的点评
点评：CRAZY, scary ride (at least to a parking area a mile or so before the springs) in yesterday. We have a Honda Pilot, and I was afraid we'd either get stuck in one of the deep, water-filled ruts, high-centered, or slide off the road. Fortunately, none of those became our reality!
People with high-clearance pickup trucks made it clear to the springs (having to cross the river at one point).
Water temperature was perfect! (Probably 100 to 105, depending how close to the source you were.) Had the place to ourselves from 5:30 to 6 PM. Two families showed up after that.
We stayed 3 hours. Then, after enjoying a star-filled sky, we got our snow gear back on and walked back to the Pilot. Heavy snowball as we drive back across the crazy terrain to the ashalted highway.
Beautiful, relaxing, cold (getting dressed afterwards, in the wind!), scary (roads). Worth it? Hmmm. Definitely an adventure. Definitely a GREAT hour springs. Might want to wait until no mud on the road next time.
