Mount St. Joseph's Abbey的点评
点评：I stayed at Mount St Joseph’s Abbey for three nights during my road trip around Ireland and really enjoyed the experience.
There hadn’t been a detailed conversation about accessibility before I arrived, so they weren’t aware of my mobility challenges. I rely on a mobility scooter and, although I can walk short distances with support, it is very challenging.
However, once I arrived, everybody was incredibly kind and helpful. We were able to access the building through the back entrance and use the lift to get up to my bedroom. I was also able to get my mobility scooter into the room, which made a huge difference.
The shower had a seat, which was very helpful, and I brought my own suction grab rail which worked well there. There was also a grab rail by the toilet.
Throughout my stay, everyone I met was warm, supportive and accommodating.
I was offered three simple, nutritious meals a day, and the whole atmosphere of the Abbey felt peaceful and calming.
The grounds are beautiful, with lovely walks nearby, and there was the opportunity to attend Mass several times a day in the stunning Abbey itself.
It was a very restful stay and somewhere I would happily return to if I visit Ireland again.
