The wine tasting was a wonderful opportunity to discover and sample a variety of Greek wines from different regions and wineries across Greece. The owner guided us through the experience and was incredibly knowledgeable about Greek wine, sharing fascinating insights into the wines, their regions, and the local wine-making traditions.
One of the most special aspects of our visit was learning that Karonis Wine Shop has been family-owned since 1882! This rich history made the experience feel even more authentic and gave us a genuine connection to Nafplio’s local culture and wine heritage.
My husband and I were lucky enough to have a private tasting, which made the experience even more personal. We visited at the beginning of our trip to Greece, and it was the perfect introduction to the Greek wines we would enjoy throughout the rest of our travels.
The shop itself is charming and centrally located in the heart of Nafplio, making it an ideal stop before heading out for dinner.
