Easy to reach, beautiful glacier.

点评：This glacier was easy to access via a very easy mostly flat path along the river at the foot of the glacier. We met a very nice driver - honest guy - who gave us a reasonable price at 50GEL per person return, including a 3 hr wait at the carpark. We found the transport arrangement at Terrace Tower or Sunset restaurant, and reached the driver by Whatsapp (+995 598 55 13 68). Sorry, didn't get his name. He also does transfers between Mestia and Ushguli.
3 hours was ample time to visit the glacier. You're not supposed to get too close, though we saw some people climbing up the steep slopes to the terminal face. The glacier was beautiful and was actually better enjoyed a little farther, as you would see more of it. On the left was Mt Ushba. Worth a visit and a nice place for a family hike.
