点评：If you are looking for a meaningful, ethical wildlife experience in Victoria Falls, the Wild Horizons Elephant Encounter is worth every single penny.
From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless. When you arrive, you start with an educational briefing. I really appreciated this because the guides share the history of the sanctuary and the individual rescue stories of the elephants. It is incredibly heartwarming to hear how dedicated they are to conservation and how much the herd's well-being comes first.
Meeting the elephants at ground level is an experience I will never forget. Standing next to these magnificent, gentle giants and looking into their eyes is deeply moving. We were able to watch them interact, forage, and touch them gently under the close supervision of their incredible keepers. Speaking of the keepers—they are the absolute stars of the show. Their deep bond, love, and respect for the elephants are obvious, and their knowledge is amazing. Richard and his team answered every question with a smile and made everyone feel completely safe and comfortable. The grand finale came when we got to feed the elephants! It was by far one of the most magical experiences of my life.
The adventure ended with a yummy breakfast, good conversation and viewing of a video and montage put together to remember this incredible morning.
It is peaceful, respectful, and incredibly well-run. I cannot recommend this enough!
Tip for travelers: Wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on uneven, dusty ground, and bring a camera—the keepers are wonderful at helping you capture some amazing photos!
