Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary的点评
点评：This experience was amazing. You arrive at the sanctuary and they give you a safety briefing, then you pile into a safari vehicle (around 8 per vehicle). You drive 5-10 mins, seeing various animals along the way. Upon arrival there is a large group of rangers. We were introduced to a group of 9 elephants, including one baby. We were all able to walk with the elephants, and pet them, even touching their tusks and behind the ears. They just lumbered along eating, and when the rangers thought one of them had had enough, we visited with another elephant. After some time we walked along with the elephants to the feeding area, where we were able to feed the individual elephants. The whole time we were protected and safe. We learned so much about elephants and were able to ask as many questions as we liked. The Sanctuary is an amazing place. It is basically a reserve with rangers to protect the elephants from the poachers. After our encounter, we took a different path back in the safari vehicle and saw more animals. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. The had a photographer on hand, but honestly they were happy to take lots of pictures with our phones. And other family members could take photos as well. I would recommend this for anybody. It may be expensive, but the money goes to support and protect the elephants, Once you return to the building they serve free appetizers and drinks. You could honestly eat a full meal if you wanted.
