Excellent value but be prepared not to see the main animals

点评：We arrived and straight away whilst parking up we saw Highland cows , Emus and donkeys all in the same pen next to the car park. The entrance fee is extremely good value and you can't help but wonder if perhaps it's almost too cheap?
We queued briefly to enter the zoo part and what strikes you most is how compact the whole place is. Clearly animals can see each other which I am not sure is right. As we walked around the park we were able to get good views of most animals. However the tiger enclosure design doesn't work as we can't see the tigers anywhere. Their bed area isn't full in view from the windows. So the whole visit we don't see them. Likewise the bear again not seen at all. So two of the biggest attractions were never actually seen. Also there was an enclosure for another large cat that again there was no sign of! We also noticed a distinct lack of staff in the zoo area too. The zoo is extremely trusting of the public. For example in the goat area the goats were getting into the holding area and close to escaping beyond their area and people were not using the gate system correctly. Likewise we saw no staff members at all in the crocodile / reptile house.
The highlight were the otters and Capybara's which were all being very playful and were excellent to watch. Indeed we timed our visit with when a family were feeding them and this is the only time we saw a staff member in the zoo area -interacting with the animals and family. We did also see the lions - although their enclosure isn't that big- neither were some of the other enclosures.
There appeared to be a barbecue which smelt good although we ate in the tea room which was good value and good quality. Although given the recent heat perhaps some tap water on the side may have been a good idea. There were big queues developing when some just wanted ice creams and drinks and others wanted meals so perhaps this needed addressing.
We went into the farm shop which had some excellent products and gifts and kitchen products.
All in all we enjoyed our morning in many ways but felt perhaps better signage / more staff and enclosures that allowed greater visibility would have improved the experience.

现场似乎有个烧烤区，闻起来十分诱人；不过我们是在茶室用餐，那里的食物性价比高且品质不错。考虑到最近天气炎热，如果能在旁边提供些自来水或许会更好。当时排起了长队，而有些人只是想买冰淇淋和饮料，其他人则想用餐，所以这个问题或许需要加以解决。
我们走进了农场商店，那里有许多优质的产品、礼品以及厨房用品。
总的来说，我们在那天上午玩得很开心，不过我们认为如果能有更清晰的指示牌、更多的工作人员，以及能提升视野可见度的围栏，体验应该会更好。
