Beautiful outdoors, but tired and in need of refresh. Inappropriate content in game in exhibition!

点评：We visited Conkers Discovery Centre with our 4-year-old and had a mixed experience overall. The forest and outdoor areas are beautifully kept, and the café had great options with plenty of choice for families. There’s definitely lots of potential for a really lovely day out.
However, many parts of the attraction felt quite tired and in need of updating or maintenance. The 4D cinema glasses really need replacing, several of the climbing/play areas looked worn, and lots of the signage and information stickers in the exhibition section were ripped or faded. The sensory garden boxes were also empty, which was disappointing.
One thing that particularly surprised us was an interactive game in the exhibition area which ended with an animated acorn character using a gun to shoot caterpillars. It felt very unnecessary and quite inappropriate in a venue aimed at younger children, especially when the same concept could have been done in a much more child-friendly way.
Overall, there are some lovely elements here, but it feels like parts of the centre could really benefit from some investment and refreshing.
