Dark golden sand, shallow waters in picturesque bay area

点评：We could access this beach from our hotel, Paradisus Gran Canaria where we stayed from 11th to 22nd January. There was a gated access to the Paeso Costa Canaria, from there a ramp leads down on to the Beach.
This crescent shaped beach with it's dark volcanic golden sand which is washed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It stretches along the coast for roughly 650 metres.
It is located in a secluded bay which provides protection to the beach's shallow waters. It is a popular beach and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There is a beach volleyball net erected along the beach.
One day during our holiday we did spent some time on this beach. We paid €9 to hire two sunbeds and umbrellas for the day, we did not spend the entire day here as the wind became a bit strong.
It's is quieter than the larger neighbouring beaches down the coast.
Although there was row upon row of sunbeds and umbrellas lined up on the beach there was ample space to spread out beach mats and towels and other beach equipment.
We did walk along the Paeso, in both directions, which took us the length of the Beach.
Lifeguards were working along the beach, there is a large Lifeguard Station a short distance down the Paeso. There were showers along the beach with some shops and restaurants nearby
