点评:We visited Whittington Castle 7 pm - so everything was closed but we just wanted to sit in the car in the car park - it was empty and quiet. We decided we would like to return during opening hours - looked like a lovely place to visit. We received a £100 fine in the post - for sitting in the car for a while - when the castle was closed - 7 o'clock at night. Really ??? Although we would have no issue with paying to park during daytime - the choice to fine people for parking for a short while after everything is closed up - in an empty car park - having come to take a look at the attraction with a view to visiting is ludicrous and greedy. We did return at a later date - bought coffees, cakes, duck food and visited the local church. We won't be back. Please don't blame the company employed to operate parking charges - this is your attraction and ultimately your choice. We and our friends will not be spending money at the cafe. We have lost £100 for parking up for a short while in an empty car park because we wanted to take a look at the place in order to make a decision about visiting. You have lost a lot more than that through greed.
