Title: The Best Tour Guide I’ve Ever Had — An Incredible Huế Battle Tour

点评：I’ve taken guided tours in many places, and Peter is without question the best tour guide I have ever experienced.
I specifically came to Huế wanting to understand the Battle of Huế and see the actual locations connected to the fighting in 1968. This is not a generic sightseeing tour with a few historical facts added in. Peter specializes in retracing the battle itself, and his depth of knowledge is extraordinary. From the movements of U.S. Marines and ARVN forces to individual battle sites, terrain, buildings, and how the fighting developed, he was able to explain everything in remarkable detail while we were standing where it actually happened.
Very few guides even offer a dedicated Huế battle-sites tour, and I would be surprised if there is another guide in Vietnam with Peter’s level of detailed knowledge of the battle. I asked him question after question throughout the day, and he consistently had detailed answers and historical context. For anyone with a serious interest in military history or the Vietnam War, this tour alone is worth coming to Huế for.
What impressed me just as much was Peter himself. He is incredibly kind, professional, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history of his city. By the end of the tour, it felt much more personal than simply hiring a guide.
He even went above and beyond after the tour was finished. When I needed transportation from Huế all the way back to the airport in Đà Nẵng the following day, Peter personally arranged a private SUV and driver for me and made sure everything was taken care of.
I cannot recommend Peter and Hue Private Excursions highly enough. If you are interested in the Battle of Huế, military history, or simply want an exceptionally knowledgeable private guide in Huế, book with Peter. You will not regret it.
