Fabulous scenery and well worth a visit
Neist Point的点评
点评：Neist Point offers fabulous scenery, with dramatic cliffs and stunning coastal views. Parking was good, although the approach along the single-track road was a little tricky—but that’s fairly typical of driving on Skye!
The lighthouse buildings looked rather abandoned, which was a shame in such an impressive setting. Some regeneration would be lovely, perhaps a café or gift shop. There appeared to have been an old café or shop at the start of the walk, but nothing was open during our visit. Even a small coffee trailer would be a welcome addition.
The walk includes steep steps and inclines, particularly noticeable on the return journey, so it may be challenging for anyone who isn’t used to longer walks or steep ground. It can also be very windy and bleak in poor weather, so go prepared with suitable footwear and waterproofs.
Despite those points, it’s a spectacular place and well worth a visit.
