We absolutely loved our stay at Kicking Mule Guest Ranch! From the moment we arrived, Jeff, the owner, made us feel incredibly welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and about creating an experience that people will remember long after they leave.
We stayed in one of the tipis, and it was such a unique and amazing experience! It gave us the feeling of really getting away from everything while still being comfortable. We were so impressed by how well thought-out everything was — everything we needed was already there. They really have thought of all the little details that make your stay easy and enjoyable.
One of our absolute favourite memories was the communal campfire in the evening. Sitting around the fire with everyone, talking and laughing while Jeff played the guitar and everyone sang along was something really special. It created such a warm, friendly atmosphere and made the ranch feel like so much more than just a place to stay.
The entire ranch is peaceful, welcoming and full of character. There's something pretty magical about ending a day exploring Manitoulin Island by coming back to your tipi and spending the evening around a campfire with good people.
Jeff, thank you for making our stay so memorable! Kicking Mule Guest Ranch is truly a hidden gem, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
