点评：I had a really disappointing experience at SnowDome while ice skating with my friend.
It was my first time using my new ice skates, so I was really excited. I booked as an adult because I’m 16. We got on the ice and were enjoying ourselves while I helped teach my friend how to skate. Then a member of staff came over and told me I had to wear a helmet because I’m 16.
I was confused because the last time I visited, the helmet age limit was 14, so I wasn’t expecting the rule to apply to me. There was also nothing clearly stated during booking to say the policy had changed. Instead of explaining it calmly, the staff member became rude, which made the situation stressful and upsetting for me.
What made things worse was seeing staff talking and laughing about me afterwards, including over the walkie-talkies, which felt really unprofessional and humiliating.
I completely understand the importance of safety rules, but communication and customer service matter too. If the helmet policy has changed from 14 to 16, it should be made very clear on the website before booking so people know what to expect.
Overall, really poor communication and disappointing behaviour from staff.
