点评:I am from Coventry and used to come here often, when it was open, as it used to be open on odd days. There have been some great changes.
I had afternoon tea with my girlfriend, in Tales of Tea, and wanted to show her the guildhall. The staff are very pleasant, and as I said, there have been some nice new additions. The first room you go into shows a history of the city and its importance at various times, followed by the kitchen, where one of the staff told us a bit about this room.
Then on to the hall, where my girlfriend made an audible gasp. Incredible stained glass windows and the Coventry tapestry.
Off the hall is the room with the various royal standards throughout history with various monarchs and upstairs is the room where Mary Queen of Scot’s was held.
Bursting with Coventry’s history, this is a must see for anybody who wants to learn more about the city’s past.
