Del Dotto Winery was, without question, the highlight of our Napa Valley trip!
From the moment we arrived, we felt as though we had been transported to Italy. The ambiance is absolutely breathtaking, and every detail of the estate creates an unforgettable experience.
We’ve visited many wineries throughout Napa over the years, and Del Dotto’s wine cave is hands down the most beautiful we’ve ever toured. The barrel tasting was truly above and beyond—it’s not something you experience at most wineries. Sampling wines directly from the barrel while learning how they develop made the tasting both educational and incredibly enjoyable.
The wines were exceptional across the board. We especially loved the big, bold Cabernet Sauvignons from Pritchard Hill, Howell Mountain, and Oakville. We also appreciated that Del Dotto offers a wonderful variety of wines at different price points and styles, making it easy for everyone to find something they love.
The outdoor lunch was the perfect finale to an amazing afternoon. The setting was beautiful and relaxing, the pizza and salumi were delicious, the chocolate was incredible, and we have to mention the tater tots—without a doubt the best we’ve ever had!
A huge shoutout to our host, Bryan, who made an already fantastic experience truly exceptional. His knowledge, passion for winemaking, and engaging personality brought every wine to life and made each tasting even more memorable.
As an unexpected bonus, we had the pleasure of meeting David Del Dotto himself. He couldn’t have been more gracious, taking time to introduce himself, chat with guests, and even pose for photos. That personal touch speaks volumes about the hospitality at this winery.
If you’re visiting Napa Valley, don’t miss Del Dotto. We highly recommend booking the private cave tour and tasting with lunch. It was our favorite experience of the entire weekend, and we’d return in a heartbeat.
