Unconditional Surrender Sculpture的点评
点评：Unconditional Surrender is a series of computer-generated statues by Seward Johnson that resemble an iconic 1945 photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt, V-J Day in Times Square, depicting a sailor embracing a young woman during the post-World War 11 celebration in New York City's Times Square. The first in the series was installed in 2005 in Sarasota, Florida. Others are in San Diego, New York City, Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, Normandy in France, Hamilton, New Jersey, Royal Oak, Michigan, and Key West, Florida. Also in Rome and Bastogne, Belgium. The 25-foot-tall aluminum statue in Sarasota, constructed at a cost of $980,000, is located on Bayfront Drive, off the Tamiami Trail, near Sarasota Bay and downtown Sarasota. Some copies were constructed in styrofoam, some in bronze.
