点评：Beautiful National Trust property with stunning grounds. Ii is easily reached on public transport, but has plenty of parking space for drivers. I took the 5 bus from Bangor and was there within minutes. There is a long walk up the drive to reach the property but the driveway takes you through a large wooded area, lots of birdsong. Once inside the grounds there is another walk up to the castle itself which is spectacular, ome striking stonework and stained glass. The National Trust guides are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely tea shop and plenty of walkways through the grounds. I was luck to visit in good weather so the views across to the sea and mountains was spectacular. Loved all the grounds but the walled garden in particular was beautiful. Lots to see and do, plenty for history enthusiasts as well as gardeners. Would recommend for a great day out
